I'm All In, Baby!!!
So, I'm moved into my new place which is awesome! It took me all weekend to get the move done but it was worth it. I had wood floors put down before I moved in which was probably the best decision that I've made thus far. I did have to buy a new dishwasher because the one that was in the condo mysteriously stopped working between closing and when I moved in. Oh well, I suppose that I had to find out about the "joys" of home ownership sooner or later, right?
In other news, we had month two of the WSOP tour. My two memorable hands of the night involved winning and losing. I had AKo and with the blinds at $50-$100, I threw out a $500 raise preflop. I was raised buy a guy who went all in which only cost me an extra $150 so naturally I called. He had AQo and I paired up my king on the flop to knock him out and become the chip leader at the table. I won another couple of hands after that but wasn't really involved too much after that. I made it to the final table and was dealt QQ. The chip leader calls the big blind ($200). I go all in for roughly $800 and the chip leader calls me - he's got the chips to play with, so I suppose that I'm not surprised. I show my queens and the chip leader shows AJo - a terrible call by all accounts. Anyway, an Ace comes up on the flop and ends up holding up for the win and I bust out. WD says that I should have folded to the chip leader because there is no way I can run him off with only about $800 in chips and in a tournament game, I should be trying to stick around as long as possible and earn points. This is a valid point which I understand entirely, but I also believe that BT has an extremely valid point that my opponent is only drawing to 3 outs and as he says, "what the hell am I waiting for?" I see this as an extremely valid point too. Why not take a chance to double up my chip stack, right? So, I see both points but which one is correct? Any thoughts?
Finally, I haven't played golf in almost 4 weeks or so. I'm playing in a 3 club tourney this Saturday. I have no clue what clubs I'm going to play with. I'm realtively certain I'm going to take my putter, but after that, there are a lot of theories. Perhaps a 3 wood off the tees and a 9 iron for around the green? Maybe a 5 or 6 iron for my long shots, my 52 degee wedge and my putter? Something else? Any thoughts? Let me know!
